FAQ
Do you require a retainer to hold our date and time?
Yes. Once we settle on a date, a link will be emailed over to you to confirm your date, choose your Collection, sign the contract for your session, and a $100 retainer will be required to hold your date. Please keep in mind that this is never an additional fee and goes towards the final Collection total. Dates are only held for 48 hours before they are released again due to high demand. Your session is not considered booked until the retainer is received.
Where should we have our session?
Locations can vary due to time of year and client preference. I have spent a lot of time in the southeastern MA area finding new, quiet, beautiful locations. I'm happy to work in a location I am familiar with and know photographs beautifully. If YOU have a place you love, I am happy to go there as well. I have worked in people's backyards, in spots they passed that they thought were beautiful, quiet, childhood spaces that make people happy. I'm always happy to explore new spots, but if you don't have one, we can use one of mine!
Can we change our Collection after we see our images? What if we didn't order enough?
You are always free to upgrade your Collection after your session, or add on extra prints for Great Aunt Gertrude. Reach out and I'm happy to talk to you about your additional print or digital needs.
Can we make payments instead of paying all at once?
I am happy to work with your budget. We can set up payments that work within your budget over however much time you need. Please just note that no images are edited from your session until payment is received in full.
How long does it take to get our photos back?
Please allow up to 2 weeks during non-peak times and up to 3 weeks during peak times. Small events have a turnaround time of 4-6 weeks. Sneak peeks always go out within 24 hours of your session.
What should we wear?
Choosing the right attire for your photography session can elevate the visual narrative of your photos. Opt for clothing that reflects your personal style while considering the mood and setting of the shoot. Solid colors or subtle patterns tend to photograph well, avoiding busy designs that may distract from the main focus. Coordinating outfits within a color palette can create harmony among group shots, while layering adds depth and visual interest. Ultimately, wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable, allowing your authentic self to shine through the lens.
